Aside from the resources and activities aimed at groups of school children with special needs, and as part of the Setmana del Mar, literally Sea Week, the Club Nàutic Sant Antoni has set up further initiatives to encourage inclusion of children with functional diversity.

The summer schools are an example of this philosophy, designed to teach children about water sports such as sailing and canoeing. With this in mind, the Club has developed ‘Estiu IN a Es Nàutic’, through a collaboration agreement with the Ibiza IN Association which enables students with functional diversity to access the activity with the help of educators trained to meet their needs.
Ibiza IN aims to ensure full inclusion of people with functional diversity throughout their lives, in all areas, albeit educational, cultural, sporting or social, as well as in the workplace. This group considers that “inclusion” should mean that all children irrespective of whether or not they are functionally diverse, can enjoy and learn together because it is a two way learning process. In short, “inclusion” means making it clear that “here there is room for everyone”.
