In magazines and internet rankings, Platges de Comte is one of the most idyllic and beautiful beaches in the world. There are three reasons for this, namely the intense turquoise colour and transparency of its waters, the extraordinary sunsets and its horizon scattered with little islets, some of which are very close to the beach as in the case of s’Illa des Bosc, sa Conillera and s’Espartar.
There are various stretches of sand and you can drop anchor nearby and dive into the water. The first beach in the southern part is known as es Racó d’en Xic. It was formerly a nudist beach and has a seasonal kiosk that fills with people at dusk. This cove leads on to the two most extensive sections of beach which are divided by a rocky promontory which is the site of a beach club. Further north, in the area known as ses Roques Males, is the jetty where the ferries from Sant Antoni dock, with an extensive bathing area and another two seafood restaurants. There is an area again to the north, sheltered by cliffs with some beach huts.
