Nàutic Café del Mar

The Nàutic Café del Mar is the Club’s regatta sailing boat and school boat replacing the two sailing boats that were used previously. The first model was known as Café del Mar and was a Jeanneau, Selection 37 model, 12 metres long which was gifted to the Club by the shipbuilder in 2003, remaining for two years in the quarry. In 2005, a second Café del Mar was acquired in France: a J Boats J92S model, 9.20 metres long, which remained at the Club for ten years and helped us to win multiple trophies.

The current model was purchased in 2015 and is an Espada 34, 10.34 metres in length designed in a Cantabrian Shipyard, by the Engineer Marcelino Botín. This yacht has helped to win some important trophies in competitions such as la Ruta de la Sal Regatta, the Valencia-Sant Antoni Crossing, the Torrevieja-Formentera Crossing, the Cartagena-Ibiza Regatta, the Channel Cup, the Inter-island Regatta, or the Silk Route among others, not to mention the Spanish Championship Heights in Class III (East Zone).

In 2025 it was refurbished and it is currently crewed by a young Ilca Club team and its trainers. Café del Mar is sponsored by Neobookings, Rumbo Norte and Grupo Llorca.
