One of the most beautiful and impressive trips you can take along the northern coast of Ibiza is to descend to ses Blandres beach by climbing down the sheer cliff face of Santa Agnès de Corona. The path is very steep however and only suitable for those who are fit and not afraid of heights. In some sections of the path, the fishermen from the huts below have kept and maintained some wooden steps, along with hand rails and ropes to help with the descent, making it much easier to manage and decidedly more relaxing.
On reaching the beach, visitors will find a jagged shore made up of shingle, with rocky seabed and Posidonia, and off the shore facing them, the islets of ses Margalides. It is impressive to imagine the efforts that the fishermen of Santa Agnès had to make to return to their homes every day by climbing the cliff face loaded with sacks of fish.
